Third Leg of the Baja HaHa

Bahia Santa Maria To Cabo San Lucas (November 2004)

The final leg found all of us on Jellybean even giddier than ever. The laughter continued on until we were holding our sides. In one of our calmer moments I got a good shot of the "three musketeers."

Pat served as our foredeck guy. He had us wing on wing, making better time than Jellybean had ever done!

Final stretch! The first shot is of us, taken by Pat. Houses and condos along the ocean side of Cabo are a rather new development. The famous arch was bathed in bright sunlight. After we rounded the arch, we got a shot of the big rock. The next photo reveals the extent to which Cabo has been developed in the past few years. The marina area is surrounded by modern buildings. This shot was taken at sunrise, along with the Cabo sunrise shot taken from Jellybean.

We wandered around Cabo for a few days, then attended the awards ceremony. Jellybean earned the award for using the radio the most, "Chattaholic," beating sailing vessel Oz by a slight margin.

Our next passage was the Rally to Paradise, a two and a half day voyage to Puerto Vallarta, organized by the Paradise Marina and Vallarta Yacht Club.
